Upkept Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Upkept is built so that your data never has to be trusted to anyone — including us. This policy explains what that means in practice.

The short version

Upkept does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers, because we don't have any servers. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.

What stays on your device

When you use Upkept, the following is created and stored only on your iPhone, in an app container protected by iOS data protection:

None of this is uploaded anywhere. Upkept has no account system, no login, and makes no network connections to send your data off the device. The app functions fully in airplane mode.

Camera, microphone, and speech recognition

You can decline any of these permissions and continue using Upkept; the related feature is simply unavailable.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Upkept schedules local notifications on your device. No reminder data leaves the device.

Purchases

The optional "Upkept Proof" unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment information. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Analytics and tracking

Upkept contains no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not know what you track, when you log it, or how often you open the app.

Your data is exportable

You can export everything you've logged at any time as JSON, CSV, or PDF from within the app, and delete the app to remove all of it from your device.

Children

Upkept does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
